All share count or “Social share/Vote button” is a joomla plugin that shows social share or vote button in articles. It contains all popular social network or share/bookmark sites that supports button/badge for vote/share. I was inpired by the wordpres plugin “Digg Digg WordPress Plugin” which I am using in my blog for many days.

There are options to show before content, after content, left float, right float
Again, there are options to show/hide button for home page/front page, category view, section view or for any sepecific category whatever you need.
I am working to sort by weight to show buttons oder as you need. Also will add redit. If you have other ideas let me know. Btw, adding lazzy load like the digg-digg plugin of wordpress will be cool, hope to add in my joomla plugin.
How to install
- Download the plugin as zip
- Install from joomla admin panel like any other joomla extension
- Go to plugins page and “publish” the plugin
- Configure the plugin as you need
- Change order of that plugin for all content plugins to change the plugin action order so that buttons show near content perfectly…
- that’s it baby!

Firstly, fantastic plugin.
I would like to know however, how do i order by the icons, i.e facebook first, then digg, then twitter. I tried the order by weight, by changing the weight to like 20,30,40 vice versa, there seem to be no changes.

I just updated the download link. Uninstall current one and install the new one. Go the plugin setting page and put width height as you want for facebook like. Hope this will solve your empty space problem. Also thanks for using it.

Also I would like to leave the homepage option ON, but if I do it breaks from the parameters of the ARTICLES sections and pushes the POLLS and ADS to the right, messing up the template layout.

Please download agin. now you can exclude for any certain itemid. so put item id in plugin setting that is using in menu for garys cookbook Component.

Good to see the the fix worked. Can you pls write about for which params it didn't work. I don't have much time to debug or test but if you can help with certain criteria for which it's not showing actual result then it will be good for me to fix asap. Thank you for your swift reply. Excellent job. Problem solved.
However, I have to mention that the plugin feels unstable. It works great as long as I don't mess with its parameters. If I exclude a button or change any attribute it doesn't work.
Anyway I don't need to change anything therefore I am going to use it as it is cause I like it and it actually works.

Thank you for your review. I just updated the plugin for link issue. Can you pls download again , uninstall the old one, install new one and check if that's working well or still have same problem. I have test in my live dev site and it's showing facebook share count for diff artciles properly in blog or section view. Please update me if that happens same for new version for you.

Thank you for the plugin you shared with us. Easy to install, easy to customise a good job indeed.
However, it seems that the facebook share button doesn't count properly when shown on home page or section or category. It is stuck at 53 shares for every article. Please check it out on my home page if you like to.
The same applies for the FB like button, as it shows that 52 people liked the post plus one, my self…53 overall.
Both button work fine when shown on each article separately.
I would be obliged if you could advise me on how to fix it, as I really like this plugin.

Is this compatible with k2 items? I'm using another popular shareme tool right now and can't get it to display on k2 items. I really hope this will.

I have uploaded the plugin and it works great…except it will not let me save an article. I have tried 3 editors – tiny MCE, JCE 154, and no editor. All 3 have an error message when I try to save the article, whether it is an exsisting article or a new one it's all the same:
Fatal error: Class 'JSite' not found in /home/content/……./w2_barriere/plugins/content/socialshareandvotebutton.php on line 63
Please help if you can, we like the way this plugin works and want to use it on our site.
