Simple RSS2/Atom mod for phpbb3

1. All user can read all the post, if i specify some user who can read only the post.

2. I have a question how do we make it so it only shows one topic in the forums.

   • Meaning like one specific category. I don't want the whole forums to show in the rss feed just one category

3. @Kathie max ppl forget to purge cache. It's recommeded when someone change any template file.

5. Although I was able to figure out how to get my rss feeds through your mod, by examining your rss.php page… "/forum/rss.php?rel=self&type=application/rss+xml" … The RSS icon itself does not show up anywhere on the phpbb3 forum… does it have something to do with using version 3.0.5?

   • @Kathie At first follow the mod instruction correctly. Copy paste files and image where it is aked in the mod instruction. Then clear your cache folder expcept .htaccess and index.html file or go to your admin panel(need to be logged using super admin user) and purge cache. It will be better if u refresh your theme too from admin. Then let me know if u don't see any rss icon at right top corner bellow the header portion.

6. Rocket & Jim, what are you using to edit your files? If you're using Wordpad2 or Dreamweaver try setting 'match case' or 'ignore whitespace' to null, thus finding the result. Its a piss easy install 🙂

7. When I validate http://www.raima.com/forum/rss.php it gives me encoding errors. Uploaded the rss.php from 1.0.5 and it seams that my code sections where I encounter tab charachters mess up the utf-8 encoding. Any help?

8. I really think you nee to attach simple instructions with the download, tried opening with firefox but it is extremely difficult to follow and will only put people off using it.

   Open the mod's xml file in any browser like Firefox and then follow the instruction. This mod was written while phpbb3rc4 was released then I have tried to fix some bug and many days I didn't touch it.

   I will try to release it's another version after feb.

10. okay I am having problems submiting the correct line here

    ul class ="linklist rightside" is not in the CDATA section I found it much further down in the html file

11. that should be

    <![CDATA[]]>

12. I am having problems with the mods,

    For example,

    <![CDATA[]]>

    this does not exist in the CDATA section, I found it further down in the overall_header.html

    What should I do? Yes I am a newbie at this.

13. Open the XML file in Safari to figure out how mod your system.

    This RRS feed however does not seem to be compatible with Joomla! Does anyone know how to it so Joomla will read the feed?

15. Can i modify so that i can select a specific forum. I, as admin, dont want to syndicate all forums. I want to select wich forums i want to syndicate through the feed, multiple feeds is ok.
